Privacy Policy
v1.0 · Effective 2026-05-26 · IKEOCEAN® LLC, DBA ShipHub™
How ShipHub™ collects, uses, shares, and protects personal and shipment-related information.
1. 1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly (name, email, phone, company, billing details, shipment data, addresses, identification documents for KYC, payment instruments), information generated through your use of the Services (logs, device IDs, IP, telemetry, location of cargo and assets, API calls, in-platform messages), and information we receive from Service Partners and third parties (carrier status events, customs filings, credit reports, sanctions screening results).
2. 2. How We Use Information
We use information to operate, secure, and improve the Services; to generate quotes, route options, ETAs, and AI-assisted recommendations; to coordinate with Service Partners; to process payments; to comply with legal, regulatory, sanctions, customs, KYC and AML obligations; to detect fraud and abuse; to send transactional and operational communications; and, where permitted, to send marketing communications you can opt out of.
3. 3. Sharing of Information
We share information with: (a) Service Partners required to perform your booking (carriers, brokers, warehouses, last-mile); (b) payment processors, banks, and tax authorities; (c) regulators, customs authorities, and law-enforcement bodies as required by law or for compliance with sanctions and export controls; (d) service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, analytics, support, security); (e) professional advisors; and (f) successors in connection with a corporate transaction. We do NOT sell personal information.
4. 4. International Data Transfers
Because logistics is inherently cross-border, your data may be processed in the United States and other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your jurisdiction. By using the Services, you consent to such transfers. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms.
5. 5. Data Retention
We retain shipment, financial, and compliance records for the period required by applicable transportation, customs, tax, sanctions, and recordkeeping laws (commonly five (5) to seven (7) years and longer for KYC/AML and customs records), and for the period necessary to defend legal claims. Account profile data is retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter.
6. 6. Security
ShipHub™ implements administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, logging, vulnerability management, and personnel training. No system is perfectly secure; ShipHub™ disclaims liability for unauthorized access not caused by its gross negligence.
7. 7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise rights, contact info@ikeocean.com. We will verify identity before responding and may decline requests where retention is required by law.
8. 8. Children
The Services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under sixteen (16). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Governing Law, Venue & Dispute Resolution
This document is governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Georgia, United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this document or the Services shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, with the seat of arbitration in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. You expressly waive any right to a trial by jury and any right to participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action against ShipHub™. Any claim must be brought within one (1) year of the event giving rise to it or be permanently barred.
10. Electronic Acceptance
You agree that your electronic acceptance of this document — whether via checkbox, click, API authentication, or continued use of the Services — has the same legal force and effect as a hand-written signature under the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN), the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), and any equivalent law in your jurisdiction.
ShipHub™ retains a server-side acceptance record including timestamp, IP address, document version, and account identifier, which shall constitute prima facie evidence of acceptance in any proceeding.
